Working together, we can make a lasting difference in how children think, act and lead when it comes to our most precious resource, water.
Upper District partners with the Discovery Science Center (DSC) to provide a FREE water conservation and sustainable watershed curriculum program for fourth through sixth graders.
The Sustainable Watershed Education Program highlights water conservation, watershed/urban runoff pollution prevention, and encouraging positive behaviors that can reduce negative impacts on water supply sources.
The Discovery Science Center helps Upper District provide curriculum that focuses on water use efficiency, highlights watershed issues, and groundwater awareness. DSC is a nonprofit organization dedicated to educating children, assisting teachers, and increasing public understanding of science, math, and technology through interactive exhibits and programs. Offered free to participating schools, the program includes interactive assemblies for fourth and fifth graders and in-class hands-on workshops for sixth graders.
