National Theatre for Children K-5th Water Education Program
Upper Water has partnered with the National Theatre for Children (NTC) to provide a free water education program for elementary schools throughout Upper Water’s service area. Designed for students in kindergarten through 5th grade, the program uses live theatrical performances to teach the importance of water, where it comes from, how it reaches our communities, and the everyday actions we can all take to conserve and protect this valuable resource.
The curriculum is aligned with state and national education standards and reinforces key concepts related to water conservation, pollution prevention, and responsible water use through engaging, age appropriate learning.
Program Elements:
Live In-School Performances
Professional actor-educators engage students through interactive performances that make learning about water fun and memorable. Students actively participate throughout the performance, helping reinforce key water conservation concepts.
Teacher Resources
Teachers receive educational materials that complement the live performance and reinforce classroom learning. These resources provide additional activities and lessons that support the program’s water education topics.
