Water Education Grant Program

Purpose

The Water Education Grant Program (WEGP) awards grants up to $1,000 for K-12th grade classroom or school projects. The purpose of the WEGP is to fund classroom or school projects that further a better understanding of water and the important role it plays in Southern California.

Eligibility

Any K-12th grade educator that teaches at a licensed school within our service area is eligible to apply for a grant.

WEGP Application

The 2026/27 application opens on Monday, August 3, 2026.

Application Deadline

The first round of WEGP applications for the 2026/27 school year is due on Friday, October 16, 2026 at 5:00 p.m.

Project/Lesson Completion

The class project must be completed and all documentation for the 2026/27 WEGP application must be submitted to Upper Water staff by 5:00 pm on Friday, May 14, 2027.
