Trivia Begins October 18
Upper District is bringing back Conserve-a-palooza this Fall. The first trivia will drop on October 18th on all Upper District social media accounts.
What is Conserve-a-palooza?
Conserve-a-palooza is a virtual conservation program that was adapted in lieu of Upper District’s annual WaterFest event in response to the pandemic. For five weeks, every resident living within Upper District’s service area will have the opportunity to participate and potentially win a variety of conservation items. Some range from washer machines to native plant vouchers. That’s right, free swag!
To enter the giveaway, residents will need to answer fun trivia questions that will be posted on Upper District’s Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn platforms. Three winners will be announced weekly on social media and the conservation giveaways will be mailed to the randomly selected winners. *No purchase necessary to enter. Only residents within Upper District’s service area are qualified to win prizes.
This year Upper District is partnering with regional agencies to provide more valuable information and resources to San Gabriel Valley residents. Every week a regional partner will join Upper District in presenting a “water-smart” topic. Topics include: safeguarding against mosquitos, firescaping, and explaining how the waters connect us. We are proud to partner with the Main San Gabriel Basin Watermaster, San Gabriel Valley Mosquito & Vector Control District, and EPA WaterSense.
How to Play
Every Monday a trivia link will be posted on all Upper District social media platforms and can be found on this Conserve-a-palooza page.
Winners will be announced every Friday by an Upper District Board Director. Follow @upperdistrict or in this section to see if you’ve been selected as a winner!
Every week in collaboration with one of its partners, Upper District will release a water related or “water smart” video for all to watch. Topics will range from learning how to firescape your homes or how to protect yourself from mosquitos. To view last year’s “Water Smart Minute” videos visit Upper District’s YouTube page.
