What is Conserve-a-palooza?
Conserve-a-palooza has returned for a third year as the Upper San Gabriel Valley Municipal Water District ramps up its drought messaging and educates residents about the importance of continuing to conserve water. Conserve-a-palooza is a six-week online program where residents within Upper District’s service area have an opportunity to win free water-use efficiency devices by answering conservation related trivia questions. The program will begin March 20th and will end on April 28th.
To enter the giveaway, residents* will need to answer trivia questions posted on Upper District’s Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram platforms. Three winners will be announced weekly on social media.*No purchase necessary to enter. Only residents within Upper District’s service area are eligible to win prizes.
Upper District is partnering with regional agencies to provide more valuable information and resources to San Gabriel Valley residents. Every week, Upper District will present a “water-smart” topic. Topics will include: how to detect leaks inside/outside of your home, native plants, standing water, and where your water comes from. We are proud to partner with the San Gabriel Valley Mosquito & Vector Control District and EPA WaterSense.
How to play
Every Monday a trivia link will be posted on all Upper District social media platforms and can be found on this Conserve-a-palooza page.
"Water Smart Minute"
Every week, Upper District will release a water related or “water smart” video for all to watch. Topics range from learning how to detect leaks for your home to understanding where your water comes.
