The San Gabriel Valley Water Forum is an educational symposium open to the public and community leaders who are interested in learning more about what’s happening in the world of water. The forum features industry experts from various state, federal and local water agencies who cover topics ranging from water quality to climate change solutions. The water forum partners include the Upper San Gabriel Valley Municipal Water District, Main San Gabriel Basin Watermaster, San Gabriel Valley Municipal Water District, Three Valleys Municipal Water District and the San Gabriel Basin Water Quality Authority. The forum’s media sponsor is NBC4 Southern California.
As life slowly returns to normal following the pandemic, we are reminded that we live in a dry region and that drought is normal in the San Gabriel Valley. We are emboldened by the awareness and track record of the Valley in saving water, as we exceeded 25 percent water use reductions in the last drought. Water conservation works and we have many ways to encourage and support water conservation in the Valley.
We take our mission of telling the San Gabriel Valley’s water story seriously. As conditions warrant, we will communicate via newsletter and on our website, www.sgvwaterforum.com, or consider other means of providing drought, water supply or water conservation information. We are hopeful of convening the Water Forum event, itself, in 2022. If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to contact one of the Water Forum Partners directly, or write to us at info@sgvwaterforum.com.
