What is WaterFest?
WaterFest is an annual community festival that features interactive educational booths, environmental displays, informative presentations and resources, free water-saving materials, and more. This free one-day event highlights water as a precious resource and the importance of conservation. Upper District has partnered with the Los Angeles County Department of Parks and Recreation for over 13 years to provide an enjoyable and family fun filled event for all ages.
WaterFest is back! Upper District is hosting WaterFest in partnership with the LA County Department of Parks and Recreation on Saturday, October 15, 2022 at Arcadia County Park from 10 AM to 2 PM. Save the date!
Azusa Light and Water, California American Water, California Domestic Water Company, City of Arcadia, Discovery Science Foundation, Foothill Transit, San Gabriel Valley Water Association, San Gabriel Valley Water Company, Sanitation Districts of Los Angeles County, Stetson Engineers, Inc., Suburban Water Systems, Valley County Water District, and Waste Management.

WaterFest features interactive water conservation activities for families with special exhibits such as the Mad Science Lab – a children’s show; Global Inheritance’s Water Bar; California friendly gardens; and face painting. Over 50 information booths participate at WaterFest.

Volunteers help with a variety of tasks throughout the event to ensure it runs successfully and efficiently. Volunteer hours are offered for high-school students.
