“Being Water Wise is…” Student Art Contest

“Being Water Wise is…”, formerly known as “Water is Life”, is an annual art contest that encourages students to express the value of water through their artwork. Through their art, students remind us to consider the importance of our water in our lives and think about the sustainability of our future water supply.

Contest Rules
Contest announcements and rules are sent out each year to eligible schools. Entries must be submitted through a school that is within our service area. The contest has 4 grade level categories: K-2, 3-5, 6-8, and 9-12 school can submit a maximum of five (5) artwork entries per grade level category.

Contest Voting
We allow our member agencies and other local representatives to vote on their favorite art pieces within each grade-level category. Winners are recognized at our board meeting with a certificate and cash prize. Winning artwork goes on to compete in Metropolitan’s regional “Being Water Wise is…” art contest.
