Every year, Upper District partners with the Los Angeles County Department of Parks and Recreation to host WaterFest. This is a community outreach event focused on educating residents on water conservation and environmental stewardship. In honor of Upper District’s 60th Anniversary, WaterFest will kick off a year long celebration of our historical milestones and successes. Cultural dances, music and cheer competitions will be taking place throughout the event as entertainment for our guests and exhibitors.

Water 101: Informing Community Leaders
Upper District’s Water 101 educational forum is hosted in partnership with the San Gabriel Basin Water Quality Authority and the Main San Gabriel Basin Wastermaster. Water 101 serves as a water-focused educational series for local elected officials, city managers, public works directors, community leaders and city/legislative staff within the San Gabriel Valley.
The educational series is a conference style program focusing on topics highlighting the history of the San Gabriel Valley Watershed, agencies providing our regional water supply, current water supply and outlook, integrated approaches to water sustainability, water quality, current water legislation and policy, and an overview of existing conservation programs. For a further look into the program, please scroll through the 2017 Water 101 Resource Guide
Water 101 also consists of a San Gabriel Valley water supply solutions tour which highlights regional facilities and infrastructure, current projects, and an overview of San Gabriel Valley water infrastructure. Please visit our “Take a Tour” page for more information.
